1. Ariens. Still have mine and its 29 yrs. old, runs like a champ and helps my neighbors when their new ones cant! same 8 hp.
2. Toro used to make a good snowblower 10 - 15 years ago, but now Ariens makes the best

4. Honda,they simply make the best engine.I have owned hundreds of snow blowers over the years and the honda will outlast every other one and it's far more dependable.

TORO to me is the best one , last year i had to get some replacement parts, the snowblower was a 2 stage 8hp tecumseh engine , it needed belts , idle pulleys [ 2 of them ]and new brake hard ware , to stop the auger and transmission , the snowblower was over 20yrs old , the dealer to me that TORO , still makes replacement parts for snowblowers that are older by 10 + yrs and still keeps them in stock at the warehouse, ARENS are good as well, but my gripe with them is thay can't keep their dealers arround long after 10yrs , in my area .
