  1. It siezed, take the pull mechanism off and put a pipe wrench on it and twist hard (dont damage crank) it should free up, make sure you have oil in it.
  2. put the auger in neutral or off start the motor
  3. motor frozen sounds like time for a new one~
  4. Generally your auger and motor don't have any relation to each other until you hold down the auger Leaver which in turn engages the belts onto the motor pully and turns the auger. I agree with the below answers when they say that the motor or crank is seized but it also sounds like the belts are either torn up or completely discintigrated. First thing I would do is take off the bottom plate on your blower to check the belts. If they are frayed or broken take them off. if you neglect to do this they may do more damage if you do in fact get your blower running again. Now for the seized parts. There can be a # of things that could have caused this problem. Shortage of oil in crank case would be my first guess. Wait til the motor is completly cooled down. remove front plastic shrowed from pully system. Add fresh oil to the motor, take a pair of Vice Grips and nip them around the shaft of the main pully(usually the top). Now keep working it back and forthto see if this frees up. if this works and the pully begins to run freely---before starting drain all oil and replace with new oil to the recomended level. If non of this works take to a small engine repair shop...They will be able to tell you exactly what has gone wrong....and How much damage is done to both you snowblower and your pocket book. Hope this helps...and good luck.
  5. Is it possible you ran it without oil? If so, your engine has seized up due to lack of lubrication, that would explain both problems engine wise, as for the auger, im not sure about snow blowers because im from alabama and have never serviced one, (we dont get enough snow here to need them) To confirm if your engine is seized, you will need to take the engine apart and inspect it.... if you need further details on how this is done, feel free to contact me day or night, i should respond within 12 hours or less sandrew.walters@gmail.com
