What is the best snowblower to buy?
I live in Northern Ontario. Lots of snow! And big amounts at one time! I'm thinking Sears Craftsman, 13HP, 30" path. Also looked at Troy-Built from Canadian Tire. Sears has always had a great warantee. Honda is probably good but tres' expensif! What experiences with snowblowers have you guys had?

- I live in Minnesota....so have experience with Snowblowers. If you are looking for somethign that lasts year after year of heavy use then you are going to have spend a little more. I like John Deere snowblowers personally...very expensive but work. I also found out that a tractor snowblower is well worth the money...even a big walk behind snowblower has troubles getting through the snow at the end of the driveways after the plows come through...the tractor adds weight behind the blower and your can move (generally) right through that heavy stuff....the walkbehinds you have to really work to get through the heavy stuff
- Toro by far, I have had mine for over 12 years. Just normal maintenance is all... I live in MI btw... Craftsman s typically last about 3 yrs...
- I live mid-way in Ontario, in a place I call the "Buckle" of the snowbelt...Penetanguishene Ontario, Canada. We get snow. people here talk snowmobiles in July! Now! I'll tell you I have had a few heart attacks of late. I'm not supposed to shovel, or even go out when it's cold! But I got me a fine old snow blower, it's old, 1942 model cuts a 24" swath through the snow, it's wonderment to watch! It's tall for snow blower @ 62" but she cleans fish, she cooks fish, and she's got a boat send enquiries, if you like see pictures of the boat!! I bought her a brand new "Chevelle" or is that "shovel" for the season upon us now!!! Unit not for sale, but can be viewed @ RAMA!!!
- I have an Ariens that works well.It is an 11.5 hp it cost me about 1300 dollars.
