what is the difference between stage 1 and stage two snowblowers?

1. Single stage- 1 impeller to blow snow Good for blowing light *dry* snow, and/or small amounts 1-2 inches 2 stage- 2 impellers to blow snow (in series not tandem) Good for blowing heavy *wet* snow, or deep snow 8-14+ inches snow
2. SINGLE STAGE IS WHEN THE AUGER BLOWS THE SNOW. TWO STAGE THE AUGER CHEWS UP THE SNOW AND THE BLOWER BLOWS THE SNOW OUT.BOTH HAVE PROS.& CONS
