Commercial Snow Blowers

How do you get a snowblower in and out of a shed?

I got my first snowblower yesterday. I tried to put it into the shed yesterday with the engine off by popping a wheelie. It didn't work. My friend had to hold the front and I held the back and we lifted it in. There has to be a better way. Do you think it would have worked if the engine was on? I found a big piece of wood in the shed that might have been used for a ramp. I couldn't get that to work either. Any ideas?

  1. Use the ramp with the engine running just to get it in …. it shouldn’t hurt the paddles
  2. It kind of depends on what type of snowblower you have. If it is self-propelled, you should be able to run it right up a low angle ramp. If is not self-propelled you can still use the same ramp, except you will want to pull it up backwards. the good news is that the non-self-propelled units are a lot less weight than the bigger self-propelled units. In either scenario do you want the auger blades running while this is being done.
