Commercial Snow Blowers

what is the best snowblower for a small woman to use in northern nj?

finally giving in and decided to buy a snowblower rather than spend hours digging out with shovel. live in northern nj where winters are either mild and then we get a blizzard, or we get snow every other day. i'm a short, middle-aged woman and am not looking forward to dealing with a heavy piece of machinery early on a cold winter morning... but i don't want a light-weight dinky electric snow shovel, either. any recommendations?

  1. A light-weight, gas powered blower. Or, get a man ;-)
  2. I don't think you want a snow blower. Might be a little hard for you to handle. If you get a man that might not be any easier either... they don't work half the time anyway. Don't know what to say, it's a bad situation all around. If you really have to have a snowblower make sure it's not too awkward for you to handle. When I got my chainsaw one consideration was how heavy it would appear to be after using it for an hour (The apparent weight of everything doubles after a certain period of time). An unwieldy snowblower might be more work than a shovel, but less work than a man. I have always thought it might be fun to clear snow with a flamethrower, but then I gravitate to things like that...too obnoxious for my own good.
