Cheap Snow Blower Knowledge Base
Best Cheap snow blower? I would like to buy a good brand snow blower for under $500 . I live in Chicago area so we can get quite alot of snow . My driveway is about 50-60 ft. long 15 feet wide . It is black top . I also have a 30 ft sidewalk that is of less importance . I want something that I don't want to mess with every year to get to start as I am not that mechanically inclined . Also one that can be fixed easily if it does break down . ( Where parts are easy to come by) . I have looked at Toro but don't know if that is my only option . Thanks for and ideas .
Snow blower vs lawnmower(tractor) w/plow? We're looking into buying our first riding lawnmower, and we're kind of stuck. We're debating on whether or not to buy a lawnmower that has the option of attaching a plow or just buying a regular lawnmower and then buying a snow blower. What are the pros and cons to having either?? Money isn't a HUGE issue, but if we can get out cheap, we'd be happy. Thanks!!
Looking for Cheap/Free Small Broken Engines? I am currently taking a class called small engines at my High school and for the 4th quarter I am required to bring in a small broken engine. Small engines consist of: Lawn Mowers, Snow Blowers, Weed Wackers, Leaf Blowers, Back Pack Leaf Blowers, etc. They do not consist of: Computer Hard Drives, Car Engines, Go Cart Engines, Broken Tvs, Etc. If anyone knows a website or two where they are selling small engines such as these small or even cheap would be better. And if anyone would like to also sell/give me a small engine such as these that are on Long Island New York that will also do. Also, I posted on Craigs List and looked on Ebay, so don't list those two websites. P.S. It has to be in it's entirety. For example a Weed Wacker that doesn't work, I will need everything else as well. (like the handle, Rotator at the bottom etc.) If you are gonna give/sell, contact me and I would be more then happy to take object myself. Once again, Thank you very much

Every year they went to the Portland Fair, and every year Stumpy said " Ya know Mahtha, I'd like ta get a ride in that theah aihplane." and every year Martha would say "I know Stumpy, but that ihplane ride costs ten dollahs.... and ten dollahs is ten dollahs." They agree and up they go.... the pilot does all kinds of twists and turns, rolls and dives, but not a word is heard, he does it one more time, still nothing... so he lands. He turns to Stumpy as they come to a stop and says " By golly, I did everything I could think of to get you to holler out, but you didn't." And Stumpy replies " Well, I was gonna say something when Mahtha fell out...but ten dollahs is ten dollahs! Maine Winters Some engineers from the U.S.G.S. surveyed some property and found that in a area, the New Hampshire and Maine border must be changed. They stopped to inform a farmer that he was no longer in Maine, but in New Hampshire. After a long pause, he grunted and said, "That's good. I couldn't take another one of these Maine winters." The Teethbrush Research had been going on for many years in regard to the invention of the toothbrush. Researchers knew the purpose of the device but wanted to know and acknowledge the originating location. After a very long and exasperating study, the researchers came to their conclusion about the origin of the toothbrush. It was decided that the brush was invented in Maine. Intrigued by the discovery, the media asked the researchers how they came to this conclusion. The researchers all agreed that it was simple deduction: "If it was invented anywhere else, it would have been called a teethbrush." What Herb or Vitamin for Energy Is Best. I have pulmonary fibrosis? Have had pulmonary fibrosis since 1999. My O2 blood oxygen level has been running 92% at the Doctor's office. I tell the Doctor it's not fair to take it when I have been resting in his office. I just want to sit here and watch TV or play poker on the computer,, no energy at all. My family depends on me to get stuff done. My wifes knees are shot. We are both 57. We have an inground pool that is getting harder and harder for me to open, close and keep up with. My family only knows I'm out of breath when I come in from working outside, they don't know how bad it is, except my daughter pulled me out of the trash can I passed out and fell in. Along with taking care of the yard, trimming my trees, normal home owner stuff, I'm shot if I exert myself. Sometimes the entire next day. I cant afford to have a pool boy and a lawn service. Would oxygen give me more energy? My Doctor said he doesn't want to get me started on oxygen yet because I will become dependent on it. I'm sure it gets lower than the 92%, resting at the Doctors Office. I don't even have energy to get any exercise. When I bend over I get light headed, if I walk, I run out of gas. The thing is last year I was doing some walking and felt a little better, it has been a long winter here. I have gotten no exercise since last year, except running the snow blower. If I start coughing hard I pass out and wake up not knowing where I am for a few seconds. I have learned how to live with that, just don't cough, no matter how bad I need to. Ride it out and cough gently,, that works. They gave me prednisone, some ungodly amount 4 times a day, that I threw away 10 years ago... I started taking Oils after dinner every day,,, 2, 1000 flax oil gel caps, a 1000 Vitamin E gel cap, a fish oil 1000, an aloe vera (the biggest GNC has) and a Caltrate or OsCal. Sometimes, not always, I use an albuterol inhaler when I feel short of breath. For example, my Grandson called this morning wanting to go swimming on no notice. We live in Michigan and have a short swimming season. I just got it opened a week ago but it's dirty again already. It's hard because it's surrounded with pine trees. The needles are always on the carpeted pool deck and I have to wash it off with the hose and the pool needs to be vacuumed again. Take the solar cover off full of water and put it back on... I had to tell my grandson no, now I feel bad. I don't have an automatic pool vac, I have to do it the old fashioned way, with a pole. Once I get started it's not that bad. I made some extra strong coffee and drank it till I'm bug-eyed and I still don't want to clean the pool or do anything. So,, what herbs can I take that will give me a kick in the pants to get me started and maybe help my 02? I hate the jitters. I asked the Doctor what I could take and he said they stopped giving energy pills out in the 60's. Cheap Vitamin B12 from WalMart makes me jittery. It's only too bad the herbs are so expensive. Again, sorry to be so long, I could just use a little advice here. I feel absolutely lost and overwhelmed. The pulmonary fibrosis came from my job as a Dental Technician. We used miles of asbestos, tearing it off a roll, sending dust from it into the air, then after burning it out at 1800 degrees or so, you use a hammer to break the mold for gold or metal crowns, surrounded with the asbestos. That sends fried particles from the asbestos into the air.The asbestos was about as thick as 2 business cards and 2 inches wide. I used that from 1969 until 1983 when they came up with a substitute. Then I had to sandblast the castings, that was really dusty using 60 micron aluminum oxide. It is so fine, if you throw a handfull into the air, it takes 3-4 minutes for it to all land. Also lots of plaster dust and grinding metal. I have also got a breath of muratic acid a couple times and blew out smoke. Anyways,, sorry, I just want you to see the whole picture. Sorry to be so long. If you want, email me at kdsearsjr@hotmail.com Thanks Winni!
Ways a 12 year old can make money (Good small jobs)? So, I need to earn money. Long story. My mom is so cheap, I get no allowance and when she lets me do chores for money I have to do a billion just to get enough to go to the mall. Don't suggest babysitting. Just don't. And don't let my age fool you, I'm not that helpless little 12 year old girl. Having said that, I refuse to mow lawns (The lawn mower is scary because of the blades) and its summer so no snow shoveling (Plus snow is too heavy, let the people with snow blowers help the old people, its hard enough for us. Plus like over half the people have the big snow blowers. Yet none help us) So, here are some ideas I can think of I'm pretty good at making clay things, so maybe me and my friend could get a booth at the flea market? Online store isn't selling so well. Other crafts! I can make scented pillows. Along with other stuff (Hair stuff mostly) If the one neighbor who actually likes or knows us needs a babysitter, I could work. Maybe help that neighbor (mentioned above) or a family member help cook and prepare for a party? I'm good at cooking. I would love to do a bake sale, but no where to hold one. I could sell makeup to my brothers friends (Yes, some of his friends are girls) And that's all I can think of. Being 12 stinks. No one trusts you to be good at working! Um dude read my thing again. Yeah, a family member would hire me

Snow blower from electric motor? I want to build a snow blower and I found some plans to build a snow blower from a horizontal shaft lawn mower engine, which I lack. So I went poking around to see if there was some way around that and I stumbled across some stuff about electric motors. So I got to thinking, is there a way to turn a washing machine motor, car starter motor, or some other cheap or easy to come by motor into a battery powered motor with enough power to throw some snow? If your curious about the blower itself, I found the plans here: http://www.vintageprojects.com/home-garden/snow-thrower.html Thank you for any help.
